Advice on next turbo choice

Hey guys, I lost my old sign in lol, so anyways I'm technically "new" here again...however, had a turboed lancer from so long ago I can't even remember....anyways I am currently running a small T3 45 trim (.42, .48 a/r) and at like 7psi I'm pushing about 210whp and slightly more tq to the wheels...however I hear a noise sounds like jingling when I boost slightly (even though no performance difference)...I'm going to rip apart to see the housing and shaft play but I'm nearly positive the blades are rubbing the compressor housing...anyhow. My turbo gets full 7lbs (sooo much) lol, at about 3500 rpms, I'm thinking I don't need this kind of lag for a low boost application...I'm thinking 16g, small or big, for the next turbo. Spool will be much better however I will probably have to boost up to 10lbs or so just to push the same whp/tq I'm assuming? Anyone with any first hand experience of either turbo application. I have 550cc injectors, dyno tuned flashed ecu, fpr, 255 fuel pump, 3" full exhaust no cat, large fmic....etc etc... If anyone has any better suggestions...I'm looking for better spool, and same kind or slightly more of power output..I think the max is like 240whp before our stock engines pop?, my T3 is so small to be honest, I don't know if the small16g/big 16g is smaller or bigger...I don't know much about the turbos themselves. Thanks

16g isnt going to be much better.. but ur tune getting better might help.. on my t3/t4 60 trim i was at full boost before 3k. why is ur 45trim seeing boost later then mine was?

and my 40r sees full boost(17psi right now) just before 4k.. and its much bigger then yours.! and i love the lag when im driving around town, dont need to be wasting gas just going to walmart.... boost is racing and reckless driving

if ur looking for a TRUE 100% daily setup for a little boost.. go get a new t25, or k03. u should see full(7psi) almost instantly. Expect crappy gas mileage.. and wanting to push more boost.

That's crazy...I think my first turbo was a monster hybrid like that. I don't see how that thing spooled faster than this ...mine is medium sized, but I hear the 16g spool is good, I don't care about daily driving much or gas. However, I don't want T25 because the flow is too minimal, my power pulls til redline and I don't want low end power only lol. Good info though, thanks

I am pushing 12psi on my 16g, I can see full boost by 2500 if I want to. I havent been officially dynoed but through vdr It shows me around 230whp.

That's exactly the type of info I'm looking for. Thank you. What 16g do you have? small, big, evo3? and 12psi is that on stock motor, whats your setup, and forgive my ignorance but what is vdr lol. Thats exactly what I'm trying to make. Thanks again

Lol, my turbo must just suck. I'm in the inland empire. I think I'll browse through the classifieds, see if anyone is trying to get rid of a decent 16g for not too much.
...I just saw lances signature I wasn't paying attention last night, I'm assuming he's stock, and I'm wondering who tuned his and with what, but an evo8 16g I'm pretty sure that's the small16g, but I'll check.
