AM/FM reception issues, anyone?

So i've only had my 2011 RA for about 8 months and I'm starting to experience some reception problems with the AM/FM stock stereo. The reception would go out intermittently and i would hear "feedback" from a different station. At first, I thought it might be the particular station I'm listening to, but when I switched stations, the reception also would be spotty and I would also hear traces of another station. I noticed that these reception issues occur often when I'm driving around vs my car being stationary. Does anyone know if this is caused by a defective antenna or a defective amp? Let me know if anyone else has experienced this on their stock stereo. Thanks guys.

I have the same problem, but don't know why. I have an aftermarket radio, but ti does it with that and the stock one.

Are you using the stock antenna with your aftermarket radio? If that's the case, then I think it's an antenna problem for both of us?

I have reception problems with many radio stations that I don't have with other cars. And those cars have the built-in antennas that are imprinted on the rear glass, etc. so I would expect the Lancer antenna to be superior, but what do I know. Cheers.

Yep, same OEM antenna on a 2011. I'm wondering if there is some other system piggy backed into it or something.
