Break-in Period Wrong Gas

So, I've had my Ralliart for about 1 week now and I'm still in my break-in period. Well yesterday, my bro decided to fill up my gas tank with 87 gas. I'm worried that this is going to harm my engine. What should I do and what should I be worried about?

I don't think it will cause an issue if you aren't going into the boost. Someone correct me if I am wrong. Also doesn't the oem ecu have a second tune for knock detection?

No need to worry i did the exact same thing when i got mine just don't ride it hard (try to keep it around 2k rpm. Then when it gets around 1/2 full fill it up with Premium and you will be fine, i had no engine damage what so ever.

That stuff really doesn't do much to anything, to raise the octane rating significantly u need to add I think it was a whole can of toluene to like a full tank plus some other stuff

Drive it easy. If you're super paranoid, have a shop drain it.

If there's a track anywhere near you, get some ridiculously high octane race gas. Otherwise, take it easy for like, a little more than half a tank (you can essentially go to ~3500 IIRC) and fill it up with 93 octane. It'll mix out to like, 91 octane, which is what is required for full performance.

I talked to the dealer yesterday and they said that the car will be fine as long as I don't drive it hard. The car feels sluggish with the 87 gas. I can't wait to be able to pump 93 into it again.

In the manual it says that 93 is required for optimal performance and that 91 will not provide the same performance.

octane booster asap. I wouldnt drive it period. Park it and go to nearest pep boys or whichever and buy some octane booster. Your a fool if you listen to the dealer. Theyll be more than happy to sell you a new car when yours blows up. Good luck.

Don't buy that octane booster ****. Get yourself some toluene. Any hardware store sells it.

Yeah ur right, I just checked my manual. But 91 won't harm it. 87 on the other hand...
