Petro, if you are interested in Magnaflow, I can get you one for under $500 picked up in Calgary. My current divorce is haulting all spending for me right now, so i need to tune vicariously. I also have boost pills and a Tactrix cable

Yes please. I would love to have a conversation with you about the cable and pills, as I am looking for some small gains (and moderate one i.e., exhaust, air etc.). Have you had your car tuned on a Dyno anywhere in Calgary? As far as the magnaflow goes...I have been to 2 different shops here that have suggested I go with HKS. They didn't think magnaflow (I asked specifically) was a good option for my car.

Can you get a couple? I also want to try boost pill and GST base map.

^Get a couple exhaust systems? Yes, as many as Magnaflow can supply I guess. I made a few boost pills and the GST map is readily available. I only have 1500kms on my car, so i'm hoping to get a bit more on the clock before i tune it.

^^For Dyno tuning, I would definitely see VEX in Calgary. The GST maps are invaluable, but i think they will be quite rich here. Most guys are seeing a/f's in the 10s with the unaltered GST maps closer to sea level.

I like the thought of the HKS system too, but couldnt justify the cost. Best i've seen without looking too hard is $775 for the axle back. I'm sure its nice though.

Ya same. I have 1300 km's on my 09, so I want to wait a bit before the tune. I know HKS is super expensive. $1400 for the exhaust and center pipe is crazy...yet I'm pretty close to pulling the trigger.

I have the HKS mid pipe and muffler. Sounds great and gives a nice bump in performance. Looks amazing with those titanium tips.

Sweet...I want the same one. How does it compare to stock with respect to noise level.

be sure to check materials used, 304 stainless, borla, is forever-no rust, 9 yrs on my jetta can attest that, magnaflow uses cheaper 409 stainless which will surface rust but "not supposed" to rust thru, aluminized steel cheaper yet may rot in 3 yrs unless you live in arizona, not pa like me. decide how long you need it to last then save your $$$, the most expensive can be cheaper in the long run

OK ... just wondering if someone can answer a question (although I kinda feel dumb asking it).

I Have a Cobb AP and want to run Stage 2. As such, I will be upgrading the exhaust. A prerequisite is a full turboback exhaust with at least one hight flow cat.

I am thinking about going with a HKS set up (catback, center and down pipes). My question is will this have a high flow cat? I can't find any info on the HKS site. Again...I feel dumb aha.

OK...1 more exhaust question. I ordered a Cobb DP and Cobb high flow cat and am looking for a catback. I was thinking about HKS, because I want to keep her quiet(er). The DP and HFC are 3" whereas the HKS catback is 2.5" or so. If I go HKS, will this be restrictive (i.e., bottle the exhaust to an extent)? My other option is a 3" UR catback with a resonator. For the people with an UR setup/catback, are you happy with it?

Yes, it will bottleneck at the mid-pipe where it's reduced to 2.5" (65mm?). But it's an improvement over stock which is 2.25

Awesome...thank you. Looks like I will be going the UR catback with a resonator route then. Super excited to run Stage 2. That said, there is a ton of snow on the ground, which will make it hard to test out the upgrade. Thanks again.

Hey Jason!
Glad that you have finally decided on the exhaust. Can't wait to hear it in person.
BTW it's not that much snow at all)

Haha I wrote that post in the "heat" of the snowfall, but ya it didn't turn out to be that much. Ya I look forward to seeing you soon as well. I should have the Cobb DP and HFC delivered this week and am hoping to have the full system installed within the month. I'm super excited to see what Stage 2 is like.

The UR catbacks I've heard have all been quite loud and in my opinion, an undesirable exhaust note. I'd be interested in hearing one with a ultra quiet resonator or mini muffler installed.
