How to wash Ralliart property?

I am a new user of turbo cars. Well, you know that turbo cars like EVO and Ralliart have some vents on their hoods. I am wondering what they are actually doing? They don't seems to be used for sir intake since both car in take are located in the front of the cars.

Also, how to wash the car properly? I heard people say that the auto wash one is very bad for cars. What about wash them manually? The only thing that I am worry about is that the water may go in to those hole when splashing water on the hood, and the intake in the front as well. Would it happens? Will it cause any troubles?

VENTS ARE USED TO PULL HEAT FROM THE ENGINE NOT BRING IT IN, AND YES AUTO CAR WASHES ARE NOT AS GOOD AS MANUAL WASHES. JUST REMEMBER TO WAX AFTER THE WASH OTHERWISE YOUR NOT DOING YOUR CAR ANY GOOD. DAMN ITS ALL IN CAPS oh well not retyping this

I like to use soap and water. Oh and some times a sponge. HAHA JP

Ill take the chance on an auto wash hear and there. It is just to convenient to pass up when it is cold out.

If the car survives in the rain...it will handle a car wash. As for how, bucket and soap work fine--the old fashioned way.

ive taken off the backing plates for the vents and under the scoop - gets a **** load of heat out from the engine bay only drawback is the increased dust in the engine bay

Yeah, don't forget begin the fuel door too. I use the two bucket wash method with grit guards in each bucket... 10,000 miles and no swirls!
