Door lock problem

I got a new lancer, and I am trying to lock the door by the physical key( not fast key). It only lock the driver side door without activating the alarm, is it normal? The problem is when I turn right to unlock the key, it only unlock the driver side without turning off the alarm. Therefore, it just keep horning after I open the door. My old car from honda and mazada can lock all doors and turn on the alarm simply turn the key to the left, and unlock everything when turning to the right. I think I need to know this in case the remote run out of battery.

My God, I wanted to see where you were from but trying to do that answered my question, so nvm. On topic: I don't understand, I would look into your system settings if you have the nav unit, usually there are some options to modify the actions taken with the fast key. I don't think it covers which way you turn the key but you can look. Otherwise I have no clue what you were trying to say.

Why use the key when the fast key does everything, including start your car?

The car will notify you if the key fob battery is low, well before the battery actually dies. My key fob battery lasted 3 years before I got *****ed at, and I still didn't change the battery for 2 weeks after that.

Once your get a "Key battery low" notification, just order a new battery and replace it. No big deal.

ORDER a new battery? Are you kidding? Just go to Radio Shack or any other store that sells button type batteries and buy one. That's what I did.

No, I'm not kidding. I bought two batteries from Amazon. I ordered two batteries from Amazon for $2/each and they arrived in two days. I'm sure any electronics store will carry the battery as well, Amazon was just more convenient for me.

I got your point. Did you guys tried to lock your car with the key? Were your cars lock the drive side doors only? I still can't believe this is normal since other brands cars could lock all doors with the alarm turns on. I just want to make sure that my car is normal, otherwise; I have to go back to the dealership to fix that.

Do you have mmcs? If so there are options for the fob, not manual key entry. Just use the fob.
