Mud Flaps for 2011 RA

I've had my 2011 RA Sportback for about 2.5 months now and have already put 4800 miles on it. Called my dealer to arrange for the 5000 mi service and, because it's been raining a lot here in the San Francisco bay area recently, I asked the dealer what it would cost me to have them install mud flaps on my car. To my surprise, they told me Mitsubishi doesn't offer mud flaps for the RA.

Can anyone recommend an aftermarket set of mud flaps that will fit a stock 2011 RA Sportback?

Thanks!

-Ray

Search, you would have found rally armor in about 2 seconds.

The oem mudflaps will fit the rear but there is nothing for the front so for a coherent look go for rally armour.

actually, it appears that Mitsubishi has updated it's parts list. There ARE front AND rear "mud guards" for the Lancer GTS (same body as the RA):

With that said, Rally armor mud flaps offer better protection than the OEM mud guards. However, the OEM ones will allow you to maintain the OEM look if that's what you want.

Not true. I got these from the dealership in 2009 when I bought my Ralliart and you can clearly see they are on the front. My guess is that the same part fits on BOTH front and rear.

Negative, they're two different part numbers, which can be verified by going to the Mitsubishiparts.net link I provided earlier.

I won't argue with you about this, but just because Mitsubishiparts.net CHOOSES to use two different part numbers for the front and rear mudguards, does not necessarily mean that they aren't interchangeable. You might very well be right, but I bet if I went outside right now and took off my front mudguards and tried to mount them in the same place behind the REAR wheels, I think they would probably fit just because the shape of the wheel wells looks the same from front to back....

i made my own. Went to auto zone, but a generic high quality mud flaps. Cut them up to match up nicely to the car. Turned out great for 25$-plus 5$ for reinforcement screws ( instead of plastic clips)

Ok my mistake, that is what I get for listening to the people at the parts counter. Thanks for the update, now I can get the fronts.

Thanks everyone,

Rally Armor mud flaps look like they'd do the trick, but when I visit the Rally Armor site and look up the Lancer flaps (http://www.rallyarmor.com/store/lanc...ite-p-241.html), here's what they say: "*Does not directly fit 2009+ Lancer SPORTBACK or Lancer SPORTBACK Ralliart*"

I have a Sportback RA.

Has anyone here got them to fit on a 2009+ Sportback? If so, what did you have to do to make them fit?

Cheers!

i have these on my car:

http://www.rallyarmor.com/store/univ...lap-p-274.html

you just make your own hardware, and drill your own holes, and i love them, so cheap they are disposable. ive gone through two sets but who cares if they are $20 shipped!

Try it, you will be disappointed.

The fronts are contoured to match up with the side-skirt extensions. There was also an update to OEM side skirt design which widened them slightly for the newer models, so there are actually 2 different types of OEM front mudguards to fit the RalliArt/GTS: one for the early/smaller skirts and one for the later/wider skirts. The rears should be interchangeable between all model years, though.

FWIW, I have the OEM mudguards on my car and love how simple and clean the look is, keeping the car OEM-ish, cosmetically, is a big deal for me. It would be nice if they offered a bit more protection though, imo.
