So, it's been quite a while since ive posted on here but I'm taking my car into Tuning Technologies tomorrow for the 30k service and I thought "hey why not get it tuned while its there." I know I'm a genius lol. But Im super excited. Im not expecting much since I dont really have any mods but I'd be super happy if I can hit 240hp. Well just thought I'd share. Ill make sure to let everyone know how it does and try to post dyno sheets.

I don't plan on doing a whole lot to the car. Maybe just catback and EVO x IC but that prob won't happen for another year or so. So I figure if I have the money now might as well get a tune. Why not gain 35+/- HP?
Don't waste your money. For stock car all up to TBE/AEM intake just do the GST Basemap. I guarantee you that Alfred can't do half of what is already included for 'SST massaging'.

For an Evo GSR, yes absolutely just get a dyno tune. With SST equipped cars (MR and RA) you have to be very careful who you go to.
You can get 40+whp from the GST basemap, for $200. Tuning Tech is known for working on VIII's and IX's (supposed they do good work, but like most shops I've heard of a couple horror stories), check their board to verify:
http://www.socalevo.net/index.php?op...=37&board=66.0
They have next to nil experience with SST which is the single most important part. Anyone can add boost/timing and pull fuel, 95% don't know the first thing about DCT's. Would you take a GTR or Lambo to Tuning Tech?
EDIT: For how good the GST maps are, you only need to tune it further if you are adding more parts/changing fuel/extract every last bit. For the cost of a dyno tune it's just not worth the price disparity. Maybe just ask Alfred for a quote to flash and do a couple pulls?

the base maps are good. Tho 40+ hp I think is from the tbe maps. I don't think the stock Basemap or just the boost pill one is making 40+ if so then I'm missing theses graphs people have asked about in other threads.
The documentation and all the information needed to learn how to do this, and and learn where the power gains are coming from are available here -> https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/09...t-basemap.html

Well just got my car back. Feels way better through all the gears. I'm waiting for the dyno sheet to be e-mailed to me but I put down 242 HP and 270 tq which I'm happy with.
