When I turn the A/C on, the fans kick on, but the compressor does not? I've searched for fuses, checked, swapped, etc., but I may be changing the wrong ones? Anyways, I've check the freon, and its near full. I dont get it? I've gotten under the car also, and its plugged in, I've unplugged, replugged.

So things I've done/checked:
1. Freon
2. Plug
3. Some Fuses
4. Re-filled Freon
5. Checked the plug with a meter, and nothing. Its not hot, no power.

P.S. - I recently threw a rod, and blew a hole in the side of my block, I was thinking of tracing the wiring and see if it maybe got cut somewhere?

 

Get A multimeter and pull the relay you should have 2 power & 1 ground that goes to the clutch and another that is computer controlled. Make sure it's koeo.

 

Jumper the 2 wire connector on the compressor (low pressure switch).

It may be a bad switch...
It is a ground circuit to ensure the compressor has enough pressure and does not 'run dry'. Also - if that wire did get cut - it would be the same symptoms.

 

One thing I forgot is that the middle knob on the A/C settings in the car, the light is blinking. Any idea on how to check the relays?

 

Sounds like a fault code only the dealer can read...

Save time/effort and go there. You have t/s about as far as you can...

 

I would say that warrants a trip to the dealer. That is a new one "don't blow a rod through your block or the A/C will stop working"
