I use McGuires soap and a lambs wool mitt to wash. Soft towels/microfiber towels with instant detailer (it reduces water spots) to dry. Wax... I use a long term polymer paint "protectant" because I daily. In between washings, I dust the car w/ a California duster, and spot detail with instant detailer (good for getting bird poo before it bakes onto the car). Before putting (or renewing the) long term protectant on the car, I clay bar it to get all impurities out of the paint.

SoCal is hella dusty, and I car pool. So, when it's NOT my week to drive, I put a car cover on, after its weekly wash. There's no sense in letting the car collect dust and bake in the sun if I'm not driving it.

I take it to the wand wash and then dry it on the highway. Shop vac every few months. I need to wipe down the dashboard area though, it's getting pretty dusty.

I'm a little OCD when it comes to detailing my cars, but I've made my own little list over the years of products that I use.

Wash (dirty car): Mother's Gold Car Wash or Detailer's Pro Xtreme Foam applied w/ a foam cannon
Wash (dust/light dirt - waterless): Griot's Garage Spray-On Car Wash
Wheel Cleaner: Sonax Wheel Cleaner

Paint Sealant: Griot's Garage Paint Sealant applied w/ Griot's Garage Orbital Polisher
Wax: Griot's Garage Best of Show Wax or Mother's Reflections Wax applied w/ Griot's Garage Orbital Polisher
Instant Detailer/Wax: Surf City Garage Speed Demon Wax Detailer
Grime Remover: Surf City Garage Road Trip Grime Destroyer
Metal Polish: Noxon 7

I have a white car, which is hard to get a deep gloss on, but after topping off the paint sealant/wax with Surf City Garage's detailer it looks like the car was just painted. It seems to be the best dust repellent as even a bug that tries to land on the car will slide right off!

I live in a townhome and share a driveway so I have to use a public car wash ( self wash not drive thru). Also the whole front of the car has a clear bra so I have use a synthetic based wax.
I use Meguirs Utimate Quick Wax Spray weekly after every wash.
I use Meguirs leather cleaner / conditioner for the interior.

I use all Meguiar's products. Start with their clay, then go with their Ultimate Compound, followed by their Ultimate Wax. I apply the compound & wax with a Griot's Garage DA polisher.

It's super easy to do, just takes some time. The results are amazing tho, the paint finish comes out like new. Well worth the day that it takes if you are particular about your paint like I am.

I use Turtle wax for interior and go to car wash for exterior, it's a pain to keep clean black car.

I like to put armorall plastic interior protectant on the black plastic surfaces around the fog lights, the front grill, and the rear diffuser. It will fix fading and bring back the black plastic to like-new. It also cleans any bugs and whatnot pretty well. But dont get it on any paint surfaces/chrome as it is greasy and hard to take off when it smears.

I found Meguiar's is the best! This is the steps I use

Take it to the self car wash or do it by hand (DO NOT USE THE SOAP BRUSH!)
Clay kit
Ultimate compound
Car show glaze 7
Hi-Tech yellow wax 26

That's the best combo I've use so far. If you can have your wife or kids help you out because it took me 6 hours (with a lunch break) to do it by myself with a buffer :/

Here's what I do and I detail on the side.

Hand wash using the two bucket method one with soap and water one clean.
Dry with natural shammy and micro fiber towels
Use quick detailer and clay bar go over each Panel one at at time till smooth.
Using my PC7424xp and a medium cut pad and fine polish go over the car panel at a time light pressure this will get rid of fine swirl marks.
Wipe off with micro fiber towels and do a final inspection over each area.
Putting the buffer on a speed setting of 5 out of 6 use the final wax pad and I buff in number 26 show car wax to a mirror finish and wipe with micro fibers wala looks brand new everytime. Takes like 3 hours to do tho.

I personally use Smart Wax and every other Smart product they offer. Their products are top notch and won't use anything else.

Dish soap and water for the exterior. I know it's not the best thing.. But I HARDLY ever get a chance to wash him. I'm at the inconvenience of living in a condo, without a hose lol.

Interior I use ArmorAll for the plastic parts. Shop-vac to vacuum it.
