2009+ Lancer Ralliart Differences...

I've searched and couldn't really find anything but I'm curious has there been any changes in the Lancer Ralliarts since 2009? I heard there have been issues with the sst tranny has that been getting better over the years? I know there is the same hp throughout all 2009+ ralliarts so I'm looking to know if the parts have been updated? Has the inside plastics changed? anything of that sort...

Not much in the way of ground-breaking changes, but:
-Discontinued the option for Recaro seats
-Added the Ralliart Touring package option
-Changed the HUD from the monochromatic red to a multi-color display

...and possibly a few more things I'm missing. I know the 2012s have some new wheels.

So the sst transmission hasn't been changed/improved and they are the exact same transmissions?

+ timing chain redesigned, to reduce possibility of stretch.

No official word regarding changes to SST - hardware or software, however anecdotally there seems to be not as many people experiencing issues with the later years.

They probably kept fixes to the SST "unofficial" (if there were any) to not admit it wasn't very good in it's first few years.

Things I noticed on my 2011 vs my friends 2010 (base model, cdn market):
No Recaro seats without leather option.
No alum pedals
No std hid headlights
USB input in glove box std in 2011
Hands free blue tooth std in 2011
I believe 2010 started using window mouldings with felt on them saving window tint scratches.
That's all I noticed.

The 2012 have the piano black trim instead of the "carbon fiber" look that the older models have. And the 2010+ have the plastic valve cover and not the aluminum ones.

I have a 2009 RA in Canada, and our options here were pretty limited back then. You either had the standard one with no frills, or the one with the Recaro package. I have the Recaro package and it's basically Nav-sat, sunroof, fast key, Recaro seats that are part leather part suede, matching fabrics for rear seats, HID lights with auto on/off, rain sensor wipers, Handsfree bluetooth phone system, Rockford Fosgate, climate controls, aluminum pedals.

I think some of the later models of lancers have the reverse camera with their nav-sat but I don't. The new 2012 seem to have new wheels on them.

I don't think the mechanics have changed in any significant way. No added HP or torque.

yeah, they change the ECU IDs every model year. Even if all the parts on the car are actually the same, Mitsu still changes the ECU ROMs every year.

Cobb doesn't have a 2013 RA to use as a test vehicle. Review the thread below for context:

The 2012 maps only had a beta release for over a year until Cobb pulled them a month ago. A proper release is yet to become available. The 2013 maps aren't in beta, they don't even exist yet. Right now Cobb website only has the ancient v1 maps for the 2010 model year. They still have the nerve to sell AccessPorts to people with 2011 and 2012 Ralliarts though.
