Or just relocate the battery and do what you want with intake.

I have the same battery that Chi has and I've had no problems with it at all. I do not daily drive my car and its been cold as hell here in Ohio off and on. We've had periods of time where it has been single digits to the teens for weeks straight followed by nice weather so I'd take it out. After sitting for about 2 weeks or so it fired right up not even a slow crack.

Just thought I'd add another update since this issue is brought up to me every now and again.

I am still running the same Shuriken BT-20 battery that I initially installed 4 years ago and it is still going strong. If anyone has been keeping up with the weather in the Midwest, you know that we have been hovering around 0*F for the last week, or so, with wind-chills well into the negatives (-30 and below). Throughout that time I have been able to start my battery consistently, on the first try, without any external charging/jumping/tending.

I do drive the car for work daily, so that helps with reliability since the battery has a relatively low reserve capacity, but for a 4 year old battery with *roughly* 225-250 cca (Mid-Tronics tested by me at work) I am more than pleased with the results I have experienced. Yes, the cranking was a bit slow at the extreme low temps after sitting for 12+ hours in an open parking lot, but it still always fired on the first try with no clicking or stoppage for lack of power to turn the (also original) starter.

well my ams branded mini battery is finally crapping out over the last year...

leave the car parked in low single digits for about a week and the battery is totally dead... this has happened about 4 times now

chitown, did you buy the shuriken posts or you figure the posts that come with the AMS battery should fit?

Just dropped in a Braille B2015(I know they are just rebranded). I had it laying around from my Evo8 build that's got a little stagnant so I thought I'd give it a shot. Needed extra clearance for the Radium dual can kit I bought seeing as they are designed for an Evo X bay. Need to make up a way to hold it with the cage I bought. Probably going in the oem location laying on its side.

I did buy the shuriken posts when I bought the battery, but only because I didn't have anything else to use. I don't see why the ams ones wouldn't work, the batteries are nearly identical
