Enough Is Enough, Sportback Time

Okay, now that I'm in the lucky position of working for SSP, it's time I use this to my advantage and help us poor Ralliart Sportback guys that have no body-kits available (and I don't count DIY ridiculous kits that involve pieces from other cars, etc.).

I need to have a rough idea of who would be interested in this. I'm looking to do something that will be a larger bumper with included APR style adjustable diffuser, incorporate the SSP Aluminum undertray (converted to fit the Ralliart, most likely as 2-piece) with wider fenders to match, side skirts to stay OEM (they're fine), wider rear fenders and a proper rear diffuser.

Please let me know if this is something that interests you and I'll look into doing it through my sources. I will be at PRI in Orlando later this month and I'll try to get things going, pending interest in this project of course.

Right here.
Also, either a gurney flap or some sort of "clip-on" larger spoiler. I need something with a bit more downforce for the track.

main thing is the rear diffuser! it is what we have been crying out for so long as the car looks so naked without anything at the back

rear side skirts would be good as well and the gurney flap is a brilliant idea

Hopefully I can get at least 5-10 guys.

I agree with the wing but I'm going to start with the body kit first.

Jasoob, I'm not keen on parts that need respray, but...

I'd be very keen on a front wheel arch vent, a la Evolution X. That was a great bit of design work on Mitsu's part.

It would have to be functional, so proper ducting from inner wheel well, proper air egress through the vent... ie. not a cosmetic "wannabe-evo" item.

Now, if the "rear diffuser" didn't involve replacing the entire factory rear spoiler... that would certainly interest me. Something functional that fits in place of the whatever-the-hell-that-is at the lower back... would be good.

Cheers, and good luck with all this!

Rich

Id love for a vortex generator to be made to suit the sportback.
and a rear de-fuser and a decent fender kit for the rear or possibly a kit to suit rear adjustable coil overs to adjust the dampener and not have to remove the shocks every time.

I'm 100% on board for a gurney flap for our roof spoiler.

A ~functional~ rear diffuser that uses the stock rear bumper, but replaces that bare plastic chunk between the exhaust tips would be sweet too...

The people have spoken, rear diffusor and gurney flap! Stat!

The diffusor is going to be a LARGE and probably expensive piece. I had our friends at JDP take a look way back when. Basically to be "functional" it would need to start right behind the rear subframe/rear diff and connect to the bumper. Additionally you need to find several attachment points (preferably somewhere with leverage on the chassis) to maintain structural rigidity.
Gurney flap is a whole lot easier, and being CF would compliment a front lip really nicely
I've had this idea in my head forever of a gurney flap on steroids that is basically a shell with a hinge that "clips on" over the stock spoiler.....like a mix between do-luck and gurney if you will.

i personally like lip kits, like the JDP or the GCCruz one thats on the books for teh front bumper

side skirt extension... something that doesn't just look like a tiny step underneath the skirt though

rear bumper corner extension something like the evox's... or some other form or rear lip that would either replace the oem "diffuser" or add to it

Tail lights... need something with a black housing like the OEM ralliart ones now or like the LED ones available for regular lancers and evos

I'd be in for some wide-body rear fenders and a rear diffuser for the OEM bumper.

+1 the rear of the sportback is it's best and ugliest feature.
