Looking to buy RA

Hey, I'm ready to get rid of me 03 ES and get a Ralliart. I've been looking for an 2009 or 2010 ralliart with around 50-60k miles on it but I'm nervous because I'm getting a 6 year loan. Also.. It's difficult to find them for under 19,000. Do you guys think I'd be safe buying the car with that many miles on it? Also, how much do you think I should try to spend? Or anyone trying to sell an RA around boston MA? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I think I payed a little less than $27k for a brand new 2013, I had intended to pay cash for it but they offered us 0% financing for for up to 48 months, so I decided to finance $20k of it. ($5k per year) As I was signing all the papers they tried to sell me "Gap" insurance. In case I wrecked the car it would fill in on what was owed vs what the car was worth. I argued with the guy that I was only financing $20k that it must have $20k in equity as I'm driving it off the lot, he said "No, once you drive it off the lot it will be worth slightly less than the $20k owed"

So per his reasoning you should have no problem buying a car driven right off the lot for about $20k

Or maybe he was trying to sell me the gap insurance....

He was just trying to sell you gap coverage.

OP, for 19k you should be telling the dealer to cram it in his cram hole. Considering after rebates you could probably find a new 2012 on the lot heavily discounted due to the 2013's being out and end up paying just over 23k for a brand new one. Hell I paid 24k for mine after my trade.

Personally I wouldn't get into a 6 year loan on a used turbo car like this without a comprehensive as hell service history also.

Heh, if anything come out here to California and go to South Coast Mitsubishi and ask for Sam Smash. He'll SMASH you into a Ralliart or an Evo...

I'm pretty sure they're still doing a crazy lease offer on Evo's for the low 200's a month on 2 year lease.

Upon looking on www.autotrader.com in the zip code of 02128 I found the following:

http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-s...gIndex=9&Log=0

http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-s...Index=11&Log=0

The above two are a bit more pricey than your 19k but they're also nearly brand new cars. If you're adamant on staying under 19k or your budget constrains you to a certain payment there is:

http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-s...gIndex=2&Log=0

Be wary of that one due to HIGHHHHH miles, but the price is definitely cheap!

IMO that's to many miles to buy used. 50-60k your talking about buying one of these cars with no manufacturer warranty left?

If I'd even step near a used ralliart I'd be demanding to see ALL maintenance receipts. Has the SSt fluid been changed? How about diff? Synthetic oil used for the entire life of the car?

19k is to much for a 09 IMO. Is their anything you can do to save up some more cash to buy new? I bought my 11 new for 24k out the door. Although it seems the prices on the ralliarts haven gone up as I'm showing dealer invoice is $26,909 .

I was looking for an 09 mainly because of insurance costs. I'm still 23 so I still get raped by insurance rates. All your points are valid, so I'll most likely sit back and try to save some more money while waiting a good deal. Thanks guys.
