Gumout Regane
Gumout Regane
I bought my RA last year and it has 16k km on it now. I read up on Fuel Additivies like Chevron Techron though it isn't sold here in Canada. So I went out and got the next best thing (according to the internet) which was this Gumout Regane.
I followed the instructions, put entire bottle into an almost empty tank and then filled her up. I honestly don't think I feel anything.
What are your guy's thoughts on this stuff?
P.S. I mostly fill up on Costco premium gasoline.

well, if your injectors were clean -then it didn't need it.
Almost all gas comes with detergent already - so your really don't build up deposits like in the old daze...
I would not expect to need a seafoam or other treatment until after 100kms at least...

I had the injectors from my 91MR2 cleaned and calibrated with a before and after flow/pattern rating at 120K miles and they were almost perfect.
That was run on the cheapest gas around since I worked for a company that sold gas and there was a pump in the parking lot at 3 cents over cost, and it was whatever was cheapest when they needed to fill it, but it was 93 octane.
Pretty much all gas these days has additives to keep them clean, since almost everything is injected these days its pretty much the industry standard.
The only injector I've see cause any problems was on a car I had with a rusting fuel tank.... rust will mess them up once the fuel filter is full of it.....
