Drop the rear storage deck on R/A Sportback?

I hear there is a way to gain a few extra inches of storage space by dropping the floor above the spare in the back of the R/A Sportback. I can't seam to figure it out. (Neither could the dealer when I bought it)

I've seen it done on youtube, but it was not an R/A sportback. Maybe there is a difference?

Anyway, this would be useful for the things I need to haul for work and allow room for the hatch to close with the privacy cover on.

Thanks.

Yeah - looked at that too. I can't figure it out either... The dealer 'told me about it' as he demo'd a GTS SB. [scratches head]

yeah, there is a difference. The RA has a rear differential to make space for, which raises the metal trunk floor. So, the Sportback RA can't lower the plastic trunk floor. Only the non-AWD models have that feature.
