Seems like thats the case. Honestly, Im not really upset about it.

 

The RA Sportback was dropped in 2012.
2010 & 2011 were the only years the car was produced in the US. If you bought one in 2012+ it was older stock.

 

Interesting! Well, I'm glad they dropped it. I like having a car that you rarely see on the road!

 

I have seen exactly TWO RA / SBs in the two years I've had mine and I commute 40 miles round trip daily in L.A. traffic. I see WAAAAAY more EVO IXs and Xs than I do any SB even the 'regular' ones. Does anyone know how many RA / SB were sold in the US? I would like to know just how rare this car is. Cheers.

 

not sure, but I've seen 3 others in the greater Los Angeles area. 1 of them was sstevojr's blue Sportback RA when we met up for some stuff.

the other two were just happen stance. A black one in the Jefferson & Crenshaw intersection area, and a white one in the USC area near the 110.

Myself, I drive a black Sportback RA, 50 mile commute round trip from La Crescenta/La Canada to Culver City and back. I car pool now so I only do the commute with my car every other week. I usually go through down town LA and China town on my way home because the 110 is just too stupid in that area.

I've noticed that regular RAs are on the uptake. I think on average I'm seeing equal numbers of RAs and EvoX's on my commutes lately.

Sportback RAs are almost as rare as chicken teeth...

 

ive never seen another RA Sportback in Connecticut and I drive a lot for work. it's nice to have a unique vehicle. I wish Mitsubishi released production numbers!

 

That may have been me! I drive by USC to get on the 110 SB at Exposition Blvd/37th St. as part of my daily commute to downtown L.A.

 

Only two in MD that i kow of...

I still have the *only* blk RASB that i have ever seen on the road... evah.

One blk GTS SB. And that was recently.

Yeah, i love the rarity too!
