transfer case..

So I went to my local mitsu dealer and asked them for enough fluid to cshange transfer case and differential fluids. They gave me 1 quart of LSD gear oil and I quart of Mitsubishi motors genuine automatic transmission fluid atf SP - 3. They said this was the fluid for the transfer case. I even heard the parts manager confer with the mechanic. I was very specific and asked him about threes times if he was sure it was the right fluid for the TRANSFER CASE ON A 2010 RALLIART and he said yes. So now I'm completely confused because the freakin bottle says it's for Mitsubishi automatic transmissions on the back for optimal shifting. Looking at the how to it seems as tho you use the lsd gear oil for both am I correct? And also is one quart really enough for each? Or is this just the dealership dropping the ball?

As far as my notes go...

Transfer case .85qt of Diaqueen LSD Gear Oil

Rear Diff .58 of Diaqueen LSD Gear Oil

AWC Fluid .95qt of Diamond ATF SP III

I personally use RedLine 75w90 for the rear diff and RedLine Heavy Shockproof for the transfer case.

do not service the AWC / ACD fluid.

The only fluid you need to change is the Transfercase and Rear diff which both use Diaqueen LSD fluid.

Here is the best diagram I have seen to explain the fluids.
Note: Only Evo X uses the Red (AYC).
Ralliarts just need to change the Yellow.
Orange should not be services unless you are having ACD pump issues.

Awesome thanks for the illustration neogeo makes it a lot easier to understand lol. So ima change all transfer case and differential tomorrow along with the SST fluid. From what I'm reading I MUST remove the bumper to drain ALL the sst fluid? Rather not remove it cuz they never go back on the same way :/

No you can leave the bumper on.
just the under panel and front of the drivers side wheel well lining so you can get to the bottom SST cooler line.
You might also need to move the battery to get to the SST fill bolt up top.

Good luck
