I have been searching and couldn't find answer. Long story short, it started by making whining noise at low speed turn (sound like seagull squawking but at a soft pitch). Now it won't even move. Oil everywhere from underneath the rear car. Found out the rear diff is busted with two holes on each side of the pumpkin. Before i want to jump into getting the rear diff repair, shouldn't the front still spinning as it's AWD even the rear failed?

 

If the rear dif is locked up, then no.

 

If rear diff locks up or binds so does tcase which directly powers front wheels.

so i would check tcase also the ACD clutches are in there too.
