Need a tune for aftermarket DP and Catback?

Hello, searched for this but didnīt find anything related to just a DP and catback.

I am going to buy a Borla Catback exhaust and plan to change the stock DP to a Cobb Evo X 3" DP instead. Do I need to retune the ECU for this or is the stock tune fine?

This is all I am planning do right now.

I am going to replace my IC and UICP, LICP, BOV later for the EVO X BOV and ETS IC and pipes, but I think I need a tune for that right?

Now I am confused, got this answer from Cobb:

"Hi Lennie, If the Borla cat-back bolts onto the stock exhaust, it will bolt right up to this one. With this added, you would need tuning for the car to run well and no check engine lights to be present. The easiest way to achieve this would be through tuning with the Accessport."

No, tune is not needed for those mods. But you won't see any gains either without a tune.

Catback typically doesn't require a tune. DP does require a tune. Your best bet is to do all these mods at once (also get a 3-port boost controller), and find an experienced tuner in your area (don't spend money on the accessport),

Whatīs the difference between the 3-port boost controller and a boost pill in performance?

Dont have any mitsu-tuners near where I live. The few that exists here in Sweden that can tune the ralliart and evo is an 8 hour drive away unfortunately.

Why isnīt the AP any good? AMS does custom tunes with it. Either way, I think I need to go the e-tune route when I am going to tune my car. Just have to find a great SST-tuner that does e-tuning.

Be aware of changing the downpipe. It has to be specific for the Ralliart if it does not have an EVO X Turbo conversion. I was going to do this, and have been in touch with AMS and was told this information. The best gain will be with a GTS map as stated, a boost pill and Hi Flow CAT with an exhaust and tune. Just my 2 cents. Anyone else feel free to chime in. I am thinking he may need a different tune with the boost pill. I myself am still doing a lot of research before I come home from Afghanistan.

Yeah, I am interested in that, but does those maps work if I upgrade to an aftermarket IC with new upper and lower IC-pipes? I also have a cosworth drop-in filter.

I was thinking a custom tune is better than an OTS map, but I may be wrong in this case?

I was looking through COBB Tunings website on Ralliart parts, and the downpipe they have for the Ralliart is called "COBB EVO X 3" Downpipe". So I guess it will not have any problem with the Ralliart.

The intercooler piping and bov does not need a tune...it just helps your car fight heat soak and utilitze the boost it's making better

Yes, the GST basemap will work with the mods you listed above. A custom tune is always the BEST option if you can afford it.

I would recommend contacting Cobb first and asking them just to be 100% sure it will fit on the Ralliart since it says "Evo X".....

Thankīs! I will get a custom tune eventually, I know itīs better to have a specific tune for my cars mods, but I will try the GST maps in the mean time since you say I dont need a custom tune for those mods if the GST maps work (even though itīs better).

If their website wasnīt down for the moment due to updates, I could check the products description again to make sure. But itīs listed in the ralliart section and it only has one pipe on it, I have seen that the X uses two pipes on the downpipe.
