A friend gave me an nrg steering wheel setup he no longer wanted. im trying to find out if anyone has replaced their steering wheel with an aftermarket one? and if so, was it hard/ any tips on how to go about it or should i just stay away from doing this?

 

In my opinion - giving up the airbag is the worst thing you can do (especially just for a cosmetic mod).

It may save your life, and if injured - the insurance company would be justified in denying your medical claims because you removed it.

Unless this a track-only car with cage - just leave it alone.

Yea its my daily driver. I do go to the track sometimes. But i didn't even think about the insurance and the airbag. I just got it for free and was like **** it ill put it in. But thanks for helping me decide im not going to know.

 

I had a really, really nice personal wheel made by nardi with a quick release on my last VIII. Made the driving experience a lot nicer and the wheel felt great, but now on the X I will stay stock wheel for the already mentioned reasons.
