How rare?
So I live in Normal IL where the dsm+outlander sport are made, you can say there are a lot of Mitsubishis in town. But there are 2 ralliarts in town and like 10 evos, and 3 more sitting at the dealership. So my question is how rare was the ralliart??
I've also seen quite a few older Galants out my way so Mit does have a presence in my area. Seen a few OZ models as well, not in the greatest condition, but not terrible neither.
A local performance shop had a car show or whatever awhile back and seen quite a few evo's and other imports there(I wished I would of stopped and checked it out).
Might not be rare in terms of production but rare in terms of not selling a lot of them. They could have produced 10,000 but only sold 1,000 so you would naturally assume they are rare because you do not seem them very often.
I would imagine it would be a tough sale for a lot of people. A step above a baseline Lancer, but a step below an Evo. Also, I rarely see them as well and I live in Chicago. I see only a handful and it is usually the same ones over and over. I see them less than I see X's.

I live in Appleton WI, and have only seen two other RA's other than mine. One was black and one was rotor glow orange. I have seen 2 EVO X's and about 3 older EVO's. I would like to know if there is someway to get an exact production number on Ralliarts for each year. I am hanging on to mine, I just have a feeling that in the future it may be worth something. All original parts will be kept and stored away.
and then think about Sportback....
I have only actually seen two (including mine) at all... ever...
No production numbers I am aware of- but the 'rule' I heard was, "10% of all Lancers* are RA", and, "10% of all RA are Sportback"....
*but does that include EVO?
If anyone has actual production numbers - please let us know!

I have heard that "10% of Lancers are Ralliarts" statement before. Really the only way to see would be to look at the last 6 digits of your VIN (plant sequence #), but who knows if that includes all other lancers as well.
Mine was the 31,370th produced in '09 at Mizushima.

Up in southern ontario about 20 minutes from niagara falls, I've only seen 2 other ralliart, seen more evos, ton more subies and lamborghinis then ra's. Only seen 2 for sale around me aswell, have been more evo 1 and IV for sale
I'm never on the lookout but I'd assume more RAs than Evos around here. I'm probably not one of the IXs you've come across either.
Here in Brazil Mitsubishi only brought 500 units, and the ralliart here was imported only the Sporback one, such as mine. And, if I'm not wrong, they stopped importing those in 2013-2014.
Considering that some must have crashed, we may have something around 460-480 ralliarts for a country of 200 million people lol
