Your vehicle is designed to operate on premium
grade unleaded gasoline having a minimum
octane number of 93 [(MON+RON)/2]
or higher for optimum performance. In case
premium grade unleaded gasoline 93
[(MON+RON)/2] is not available, unleaded
gasoline number of 91 [(MON+RON)/2] can
be used. However, the performance level is
reduced.
In order to maintain exhaust system durability,
premium unleaded gasoline having an
octane number of at least 91
[(MON+RON)/2] must be used.
If the premium grade unleaded gasoline number
of 91 [(MON+RON)/2] or higher is not
available on journey, etc., regular unleaded
gasoline having an octane number of 87
[(MON+RON)/2] can be used temporarily as
an emergency measure.

Maybe this will be unbeleivable to some but where Im from we only get 86 Octane gas... I have 2 cars my Evo V going strong for almost 5 years and my 09 RA going almost 1 year no issues.
is it safe? Guess not I guess my only option would be a tune for my gas but guess what AWD dyno another thing we dont have sigh..

DsmEvo87 if you have any roads that you can do some pulls on and log them then you could always get an e-tune.
If you can it also might make sense to do some monitoring/logging for knock if you have to run lower octane for some reason.
