Price Is Too Good?
Hello guys, im an 18yo looking to buy my first car and recently been getting more and more into lancers. I was surfing through Craigslist and came upon a 2010 Lancer Ralliart that is lightly moded and really good condition (atleast through pics). My concern is the price, the car has 42k miles, and hes selling it for $12400. Idk if thats good, bad, etc, but to me it seemed cheep. Thanks in advance. It also has a coilover suspension, DVD, Navigation, Suede Interior, idk if any of that means anything lol.

That actually seems a little on the high side honestly. These cars dont hold their value. I will say though unless you have the funds to keep up with the maintenance I would look at another car. These cars aren't cheap to maintain especially with the transmission fluid changes that you should be getting every 20-25k miles

I think maintenance/repairs is the biggest issue to lookout for so yeah check the service history.. Specifically the SST transmission. Maybe get a third party warranty on the car to cover your *** in case the SST fails cause it is a costly fix.

I will say this. When I bought mine there wasnt a single Aftermarket Warranty Company that would cover the transmission in their warranty. They'd cover every other aspect of the car and the components but refused to even try to cover the Transmission. The cheapest/best option for a warranty was almost $2500 and again that did not cover the trans ( rest of the car was covered for 100k ontop of the mileage I currently have on the car. I was really bummed out by this but not surprised.

That sucks man. The used dealership I purchased the car from offered it to me, which cost about $1500 for a 2 year, 40,000km/year warranty that covers up to $5000 per claim. The warranty company is 'Lubrico' based out of London, Ontario, Canada. Needless to say, I used more than that $5k claim and was worth it.
