This noob is about to either learn or break a car
After years of browsing here and there I finally decided to register. Why would I choose now? Well im at 99,800 miles and I want to do all the stuff I said I wanted to do on my 2011 ralliart. It took me this long because I have no experience with this any of this im scared to break it... I can work on helicopters but cars i dont know anything at all. Im not sure what to ask but right now im just adding stuff on amazon and once i have what i need ill order it:
Here is my current shoplist:
Mallet
Allen Keyes
I have sockets, im trying my best to inform my self but man there are so many out of date pages.
UPDATE
- Chilton Repair Manual does not exist? This would help not ruin the car.
- ECU tunning (can I do this? i saw in a few places that you can just download it online).
Here is my current shoplist:
- Ramps
- Torque Wrench
- Bleed Kit
- Exhaust
- Fuel Pump
- Break Pads
- Break Fluid
- Intake
- BOV
- Cabin Filter
- Harbour Freight:

Excellent post! Thanks for joining us
Many of us w/EvO's were able to download the service manual here: https://evoscan.com/vehicle-manuals
But, it does not look like they have the RA manual. Check w/the other RA owners & find out if they have access to the manual
Welcome & cheers / Joe

Great choice. You will need Evo X manifold, Downpipe, upper IC pipes, induction tube/intake and FMIC to run it properly.
No need for the downpipe, at all. Save yourself a large amount of cash on the part and labor. Catback should take less than an hour labor. I highly recommend the Magnaflow over the Borla.
Air filter takes 5 minutes to install. You could do it yourself, even with no mechanical knowledge.
I would HIGHLY recommend not using a Cobb Accessport for a SST equipped Mitsubishi. Find a good tuner that knows the SST and tunes with Ecuflash.
You could spend less than $1k and get a good tune and boost solenoid and get the same power gains as what that quote is giving you for almost $3k.
