ASC Button behavior
ASC Button behavior
I'd like to change the behavior of the ASC button so that when I press the button once, ASC is turned off off. Sometimes in the snow/ice, the AWD system doesn't do the right thing and I'd like to be able to disable it quickly, on the fly.
Example: If I'm understeering on the ice while making a turn, I'd like to be able to turn off ASC and kick out the rear end by manipulating the throttle, brake, and/or handbrake. To turn ASC off, I have to hold the button down for 4 seconds.. which.. by that time it's too late.
Is there a way to change the behavior of the ASC button? In ETACS, MUT-III, another way?
Edit 02/01/2025: No quick answers it seems. Over the next couple weeks, I'll try to acquire, set-up, and test:
1. ETACS Decoder
2. MMCodingWriter
3. (Less likely) MUT-III
If anyone knows if any of the above listed options simply won't be able to accomplish this, please chime in.
I will update this thread as I learn more. If no updates, please feel free to request updates and/or delete the
thread if there's no activity. Nothing more frustrating than stumbling on ghost threads.
