If you are going to lower you vehicle do some research. All too often someone lowers their car and ends up making the car handle like crap all for looks which will wear out suspension parts prematurely. Find the right spring rate so the struts don't bottom out. Whenever you lower anything get it aligned to the perferred manufacture specs. Don't go based on what someone tells you unless you plan on racing it. Seen alot of lowered cars come into my shop all messed up because they don't pay attention to detail. Let us know whatever you want to do.

Anyone happen to know if the stock evo X shocks/springs will work? Thats what I would use. Thats going to better than anything out there until Koni or Bilstein make some aftermarket models of shocks for us IMO.

You won't likely find less of a drop unless you get coilovers and set the height yourself. When spring makers design springs, they design the new springs to level out the control arms, which is why pretty much all aftermarket springs drop the same amount.

And I know this is an old conversation, but there's another downside to coilovers. If you live in a winter climate, particularly where they salt the roads, then coilovers are a bad idea (unless you want to swap out the suspension every fall and spring.) Coilovers do not hold up well in the winter and will corrode pretty quickly. That's one of the two main reasons I don't run coilovers, the other being that I put on so many miles per year that I don't want to have to have the coilovers rebuilt every year.

Lowering makes it more slick and killerish.. stock height reminds me of a rally car. Its all up to the owner and how they want there car to look. Keep in mind future mods you plan on doing also.
