Odd that they released Super Streets for the base Lancer but Basics for the Ralliart.

yeah thats what im thinking.. but according to the tein japan line up looks like they will be developing the FLEX for the ralliart..

i wonder how these will do when compared to BC Racing coilovers with the same spring ratios.

sorry guys barely have time to get on here but.....the drop for the tein s tech springs are 2.2 in the front and 1.8 in the rear the cost for the springs is $330.00 im debating wether i should get them or not. i hear its a bumpy ride if its not a smooth street and right now i cant afford coilovers lol... should i wait or just get them now??

im also worried about wearing out my shocks and struts because it is a pretty big drop

That sounds like a pretty big drop, it will certainly put more stress on the struts. Realistically, the Tein coilovers would be a bumpy and very stiff ride so pick your poison. You could always wait and see if any other options come on the market.

yeah, 2.2"? that's a pretty big drop. i don't want to go more than an inch. the bc option seems pretty good. coilovers for sub $1000? why not?

Well do a price breakdown.
Let's say the coilovers cost 1000$. Assuming a very small profit of 10%, the actual cost to make the coilovers is 900$. That 900$ has to cover the struts, the springs and the top mounts. 900$ isn't a lot of money to split between those 3 items, good struts alone can run over 900$.

im thinking about going with rrm springs since it is a nice decent drop and they said it wont harm stock shocks and struts

All spring manufacturers claim that their springs won't harm the stock struts but they all do to an extent.

well surely the tien's will do alot more damage than the rrm springs the tein is a huge drop . and there is no aftermarket struts for us yet

Spring rates play a role as well but I'm sure you're right.

If you're going to get springs, go with either RRM or Robispec. They should be cheaper (and arguably better) than the Tiens, and considering how much RRM and Robi do for the Mitsubishi community, they are worth supporting.
