Winter Tires and Summer Replacements

I know the stock Advan tires are terrible in the snow, so living in a snowy state I feel like I should get a set of winter tires. Not to mention my tires are almost going bald after almost 5000 miles of "spirited" driving.

I looked online and I think I'll get Michelin X-Ice Xi2s, but they're probably all the same. Those just look the best and seem to be a good price.

And for next summer, I'll get Yokohama Advan Neova AD08s, which are expensive but supposedly very sticky and very good.

I went all-out and got the same tires in 18" size. People think I'm crazy for looking forward to the snow...

Oh poop, I am stuck with my stock tires for the winter cause I won't have the cash for a few months. I just bought those 89 dollar summer tires for next year.

Also, I need to save cash to buy myself a PS3 for Christmas....Merry Christmas to me.

I don't have the Ralliart yet (haha - end of month... come quicker!) but I've got a set of Blizzak LM22's waiting for it already. Picked them up used from a Mazdaspeed 6 owner, because we have same OEM tire sizing.

I also have summer wheels waiting: http://cgi.ebay.ca/BBS-RS-GTs-with-D...item4a9b6466ca
Dunlop SP Sport Maxx on BBS wheels.

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes

Continental ExtremeContact DWS, as referenced in the other thread here: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/09...rt-s-plus.html

At $129/tire that's actually a very good deal for 235/40R18

It's still better to have dedicated summer/winter tire sets though.
