RRM Time Attack Brakes

Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone is using the RRM time attack rotors or pads yet?
Any reviews?

Not yet but I might get some in a little I'm looking at all the brake options we have for our cars before I jump on one.

Yeah I'm looking into it atm also. I don't have the $'s for a BBK so I'm looking at viable alternatives in replacing the rotors, pads, lines and fluid.

Sofar the RRM rotors are the best priced I've come accross but want to know what they're like before I take the plunge (and pay the freight to Aus).

I've purchased from these guys for several prior auto's, and they are my number one choice when I decide to get new rotors and pads. Great prices for quality products, and they ship all over! If its not listed call and they quote you prices

Yes I know RRM is an excellent shop. What I'm after is any reviews from people that have these rotors. I hate being the guinea pig and with the extra freight I would have to pay to get these to Aus I'm not willing to take the plunge without someone else doing it first..........

I used the site from EBC and connected me to online stores...I went to here http://placeforbrakes.com/ and order 2 sets of rotors and pads. And took the advantage of 16% off if spending over $150 with free shipping. I only paid $440 for the whole thing from front to rears including the pads. I have the Ultimax slotted rotors (USR) along with the Redstuff pads. Shipping was quick but had to wait on the rears which I am receiving sometimes this week then do this kind of work on a weekend at mt school at UTI. Although I do notice that you're from Aussie, I would try something closer to your home down under!! I would give it a shot!!

On side note..I did research RRM as well but they were little expensive at the moment for me. I heard nothing but good stuff about RRM but have not seen or tried their time attack brake setups. Good luck in your research!

Yeah I'm looking locally but as has been mentioned on a previous thread for brakes we get royally screwed in Aus for everything. I was looking at DBA4000 rotors and they're about $450 each side ($900 total for fronts), DBA5000 are about $1200 for the fronts.

If I can get brakes from OS and save money, why not

I'm also looking at running EBC Reds as I can source them cheaply, just stuck on rotors atm..........

Slyman, did they have the correct parts?
I've got the EBC part numbers for the rotors and pads and when you go on the site you posted, the correct part numbers don't come up (RA brakes are different to GTS brakes).

No, they are still trying to correct the part numbers BUT the guys at Place for Brakes fixed all that by selecting the right part numbers for me, if I am not mistaken, they have already corrected the part numbers on their site. This is one of the reason why I am impressed with their service. As far as the GTS and Ralliart brake numbers, they're identical since they are using the same setup but when I went on ALLDATA at my school, I have noticed the difference of thickness in the front. GTS states 1.08" and the Ralliart states .98" of their thickness. I don't know if this is correct or not. But it really got me puzzled by looking at the difference of thickness.

This is what the part numbers I have on the list from the invoice from Place for Brakes......

EBC Redstuff pads front....DP31614C
EBC Redstuff pads rear.....DP31563C
EBC USR Slotted Rotors for front....USR 7379
EBC USR Slotted Rotors for rears...USR 7381

I hope this is what the correct part numbers are.

EDIT: Just looked at the EBC site and noticed that they did change the correct part numbers. I had my old Pep Boys receipt and it showed different numbers. After waiting a long while for the parts, I decided to look elsewhere online and came up with these guys and they had all the parts and corrected me the right part numbers, so I was sold by them. After canceling my order with Pep Boys and getting my $600 back, I went ahead and order through Place for Brakes for $440 and got fast FREE shipment through them although I had to wait on the rear rotors since they are called drum in hat rotors so it had to be "special" ordered. Now that I will be receiving my rears this Thursday or Friday, I will be installing them this weekend.

Slyman, I think you have the incorrect parts.

Correct parts from EBC are

Front Pads (Redstuff)
DP3954C

Front Rotors
USR7336

Rear Pads (Redstuff)
DP31407C

Rear Rotors
USR1576

There's also posts in the brake fitment thread confirming this.

After looking at my invoice papers for the second time and carefully read!! So the ones that has been sent it states these and also looks like you have the right part numbers... but this is what I have on paper

DP3954C

DP31407C

USR7336

USR1576

So by looking at the comparison, it looks like I do have the correct parts!! WHEW!! You were busting my *****!!
