Rear sway, without diff drop?

Is it possible to do the rear sway bar without dropping the diff? Has anyone done this in there driveway. Or should I just pony up the $200 to have it done. New bar is on the way.
I hate people touching my car. The first thing most mechanics do its to whip out the impact gun. It pisses me off. The nearest good shop is about an hour away. In Edison NJ.

On a side note, anyone found end links they like?

Thanks....

I knew that would be the answer. I was just hoping it would be easy. Have you dropped the diff? Any suggestions? I this going to suck considering I only have about 20" of clearance up on my ramps?
I am going to do it myself. I want to make sure it is right. I am not going to let some hack cross-thread and jump thread all of my bolts with an impact gun set at 110 psi. lol
Does anyone have torque specs for bolts? I know I know I should get the tech manual. I just haven't got around to it yet.

Thanks westbound

Your going to need a jack as well. Torque is usually determined by the bolt size, you can find the charts through google.

As for cross threading bolts, you'd have to be an idiot to not hand thread the bolt before you use an impact gun on it. You might want one yourself? or a good 24", 1/2" drive breaker bar. Don't use your torque wrench to loosen bolts.

I would never use my torque wrench to loosen a bolt. Thats a nother thing that "grinds my gears". lol Thanks for the info though. It is cold as hell hear in Northern NJ. We are supposed to get another 5-6" of snow on Tuesday. I am going to get my whiteline bar and it looks like I am not going to get to install it for at least another month. Lame..... It sucks. I got this car and the air temp hasn't gone above 30 degrees F. I have about 350 miles on it. I was hoping to get a few good driving days in to get some nice break in time but it just hasn't happened. I suppose it doesn't matter though seeing as though i don't really have any good idea on how to break in the SST anyway. lol I have been trying to not let the clutches slip to much by making sure I always give it enough gas when starting out. I guess that would be the equivalent of me letting off the clutch quickly with my left foot in order to get a good slip?
Thanks for the info again guys.....

You know. I think I will. I will film the whole thing for you guys. I think that the rear sway bar swap is one of the better mods for this car, after chucking the tires and a nice tune. This car has crazy understear. It isn't even progressive, It just comes on and gets worse with throttle input. Once the front washes it just gets uncontrollable and your only option is to let of throttle and wait, and wait, and wait. lol There doesn't seem to be a thread for the replacement. I will do it. You guys are just going to have to wait a few months until the weather gets a little better. I hate the cold...........

Crappy phone pictures. Only a few bolts and a couple brackets need to be unbolted. Nothing complicated. No real need for a write up or video taping it really. Honestly if someone(anyone no one in specific) can't figure it out, maybe it would be best left to a shop.

Might do this myself, been holding of on doing any real mods to the car.
