Similar Wheels to the Work XT-7s?

[moved over from the Evo X forum ... woops]

Hey All!
My first real post, and its a dilemma. Love the way the Work XT-7s in the Bronze would look on my Rotor Glow ralliart.

But to get them shipped to where I live I got quoted around $2600 just for the wheels and it'll take 8+ weeks to come in I know they'll be worth it and they're a killer wheel, but are there any similar options out there that have a similar design and color and are more readily accessible and/or at a low price point?

Thanks for your insight!

Not the same, but the MB Weapon wheels look similar and come in bronze. its 7 spoke, and is actually a rebadged jdm brand wheel. i dunno if its made in japan, but in japan the same wheel is called the A-tech eraser.

i dunno if u can get it in canada, but its a cheap wheel for us in the states.

Thanks for the info! I'll check that out and see what options there are to bring it into Canada. One thing I really dig about the XT-7s that these don't have is that the spokes go right to the outside edge of the rim. It makes the rim look huge and mean, haha. Thanks though - if its a difference of like $1500, well we'll see

I don't see how those could cost you $2600 shipped. I remember those going for around $1500-$1600 brand new in Evo sizes.

2540.16 + shipping 170.94 = 2711.10

that was the official quote I received from Rev Competition Products, Works' official Canadian distributor

it depends on the colour and size you're after.. custom orders take 8+ weeks to be made and shippped out to you.. im sure there's a vendor on evoM that has the XT7's in stock just send them a PM. Evasive, ravspec etc..

thanks - I'll look into both those options. So it looks like I'm going with the XT-7s then? They do seem pretty unique

If I were to get these Id go with the 18x8.5 +38....same size as the Evo X wheels and I believe would only require a rear roll.

Finally found a Canadian dealer that didn't want to rape me for price! Shipped to my house is $1700 (Canadian), which is almost $1000 better than some other places!

Decided to go with the XT-7s 18x8.5 in the +46 and a 235/40/18 tire. It might be a little tight but hopefully no rubbing.

I know the +38 offset would have been deadly, but would have definitely meant rolling the fenders, which I don't want to do unless I absolutely have to.

Thanks for the help guys!

It'll be 8 weeks before they're in, but I post pictures as soon as things are put together!

I'm also ordering 5 packs of Gorilla Gard Wheels Locks that have that free-spinning sheeth to keep people from just using a set of pliers.

I know its not going to prevent them from taking the rims if they really want them, but at least it'll make em say Oh S**t when they see all the locks they gotta go through

(Unless they have the same key. Then I'm screwed.)

Called down to Gorilla Auto to ask about the locks and the semi-rude lady I was speaking with would not answer my question of how many runs they do before they switch keys. I'd imagine a few thousand, but I hope its not like 20,000 or something. Cause I bet there are only a handful of the Guard Locks where I live. Hopefully the keys don't all match! :s
