Track Brake Pad Recommendations

Hi All,

I took my RA out to a HPDE (high performance driver's education) event yesterday, and was happy with my overall setup, aside from the brakes. There was severe fade toward the end of each session.

Here is my brake setup:

Rotors - Front: Brembo
Rotors - Rear: OEM

Fluid: ATE Gold TYP 200 (Dot 4)

Pads - Front: Hawk HP Plus

Pads - Rear: RRM Time Attack:

Any ideas on a better pad setup? I don't mind higher rotor wear or having to switching out the pads before and after track days. I won't be going with SS lines or slotted rotors, only because of possible flack when I have to go to the dealer.

In my previous car, I used Pagid black pads for the track and the worked really well. Unfortunately I don't believe they make the right size for the Ralliart.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

As I mentioned on another forum, I make a brake upgrade to cure exactly this problem.

Double-check that. I'm running Pagid Blue on my RA, stock brake size. Love those Pagids.

Try this set up, Ferodo DS2500 front(part# FCP765H) and EBC redstuff(DP31407C)Rear with Motul 5.1 Fluid. Here in PR temps are high and the race track is near the beach and so far no brake fading at all. You can also try with brake ducts. There is something you can try too and is to take off the fog light in front of the trans cooler and buy a 7" fan then go to the ams page and follow the instructions to conect it, look for the trans cooler.

Pagids for the RA, that's great news. I was looking for the blacks specifically, maybe that's why I didn't find them.
