Wheels for the Ralliart

So it has come to pass that I have money from some side work coming in. This money is going to be spent on wheels for the Ralliart, I could spend it on tuning and engine parts but who cares when my ride needs nicer shoes. I have narrowed it down to 3 wheels, all great brands, all under 20 lbs each. The size of the wheels will be 18x8 or 18x8.5 depending.

Option 1 - 5Zige FN01RC Hot Version Silver

Option 2 - Enkei Racing PF01 Silver

Option 3 - O.Z. Alleggerita HLT Orange

Unless you're building a show car, I'd go with option 2. You'll probably get sick of the orange after a short while and it's a little loud for an otherwise-stock RA.

Consider bronze if you must have a color.

I thought that if I went with a color I wanted to avoid bronze and the Subi look. When I was looking at wheels the OZ orange really stuck out and fit my criteria so I added it. I figured if enough people really liked it then I would go for it.

If going for an enkei, I would go the RPF1

All those wheels pictured are show with a somewhat aggressive offset giving it that concave look. Be sure to find a picture of the exact width and offset you want. A lot of wheels that look good in a lower offset dont look so good in a higher offset...

I could not find a good picture of the correct offset, I have seen them the way I need them and like the look.

You absolutely can not judge fitment based on How you want the Rim without looking/searching the forums for what fits or not. I mean I love my 18x.9.5 + 15 RPF1's they're pure sexy but they can't fit on the RA without some kind of Widebody.

I'm Running 18x9+30 and it's pretty aggressive with 245/40/18 tires....

Even Stock GSR's need a roll so just saying if you want the concave look check the CORRECT size.

FN01RC 18x8.5+38

^ No Concave.......

I am avoiding the RPF1 wheel as I can not find the correct fit for the Ralliart, the PF01's are a great looking wheel and I hear good things so it was easy to have in the top 3. I do like the way the FN01RC does look on the car, I wonder if I need to stick to a +38 off set to get a 245 wide tire though or if I can move to a +45 and not rub.

18x8.5 +45 will be very close to the inner suspension components, also it will probably look kind of sunken, like the OEM wheels. If you're looking for a more flush fitment, stick with the 35-38 offset range.

As far as wheel choice, I'd go with the PF01 out of the three you have listed. The orange is just not to my taste, and both the OZ and 5Zigen wheels will look smaller than they actually are because of their spoke/lip design. The picture AKB posted is a perfect example of an 18 looking more like a 17, and because you are still riding pretty high (according to the pic you posted) the effect will be accented even more. Even the PF01 may still do that, to some effect, but the spokes on that at least seem to flow better toward the outer lip and will make the wheel seem larger than the other two

Where is each wheel manufactured?

I have seen nothing but trouble from wheels that are made in China, and I have installed many tires.
