Upgrading tires? Suggestions?

So I have my evo x wheels that I got a good deal on with the stock tires. Obviously they suck so Im going to have to replace them after this season. Does anyone have any suggestions for good tires? My car is my daily driver but also want some good tires for the track.

I have the Continental Extreme Contact DW with reinforced sidewalls (225/40 R18). Excellent wet weather traction, and quite sticky for a 340 tread wear rated tire.

The only real downside is the sidewalls are still softer than ideal.

Yeah i an starting to regret my DWS Continentals. There are turns that i could take at 60 with no tire squeal or anything and now the DWS i can only take those turns at 45 and the tires have no grip.

Ask yourself this. What is the weather like in the area you live in? If you live in a climate where it snows and snows hard an all season performance tire wouldn't be a bad idea.

Michelin Super sports or Continental Contisportcontact 3s. The Michelin are the best and lighter but the continentals are cheaper and just a little less grippy.

federal rs-r hands down best bang for your buck if your looking for street/track. You should be able to get a set for around $500-600, if you can find them anywhere not on backorder... my only complaint is that they hydroplane in really heavy rain or any amount of standing water (but thats to be expected and not a big problem if you drive like a sensible human being).

Matt, we should go for a ride sometime so you can see how you like mine (Hankook V12). Not the best performer, but AWESOME in the wet and pretty good on dry.
