Lowering springs & setup question
Lowering springs & setup question
Hello,
I am currently on lancer gt (asian market). I have plans to upgrade my suspension and my wheels soon. I already got rid of the oem wheels and now running on 17x8j ce28n +40 with 235/45 (been on michelin ps2, now on conti csc3). Still on oem springs and dampers, so far no rubbing or mods to the fenders required.
Due to the "not so friendly" road condition here, 18inches would be out of practicality as my car will be daily driven and i do commute my wife n kids everywhere with the lancer.
My next mod would be:
tyres = 4pcs toyo c1s @ goodyear assymetric 2 @ potenza re002 in 225/45/17 (rubber price is super high here)
wheels = either a set of
white rays nismo lmgt4 - 17x7.5j off+30
or a set of
bronze advan avs model 5 (not t5) - 17x8j off+30
personally i love the look of the model 5 and the flush effect it would give but the nismo is definitely much2 lighter with an evergreen design.
my question:
- what tyre would you recommend based from your experience? (im already firm on the size, but need advise on the brand)
- will my wheel n rubber setup require me to roll my fenders? or any other mods?
- im looking for the tallest setup of all springs (not the lowest). i do love the low look but it would kill the comfort.... not keen to use coilovers as i just want to close the gap by a little nt race the car....
- and what would the camber n toe settings be? to get a great comfortable ride and fender clearance when travelling with full load....
need your advise fellas....
cheers!
some links:
the nismo would be the exact spec as per the silvia nismo 200r below (the owner is upgrading to bigger 19 nismos soon)

as for the model 5, they are as below (sample photo of exact color not spec):
