Would an EVO 8 bov work on the 09 RA.

 

yes. the black plastic oem one is the same. the jdm mr (aka evo 9, X) dv is the same size. Any bov made for the evo will fit. Although for the RA, its pointless to go with anything beyond the stock evo 9/X dv.

 

well what i did is i took my turbo smart BOV off for a minute there and installed my plastic stock one back just to see the sound with the UR SRI..well i heard the ppssshhhh but it was very faint. ( i could not hear it before the intake) after a 3 minute drive i came came come and slapped the turbo smart one back on! please post a better vid soon...

where can i get a turbo smart bov and which one is louder the turbo smart or the ams bov upgrade( evo 9 bov)....aaand i was also considering the hks bov is there any bad side to putting one of these on??

 

Yes, you're spending money on an engine part that yields zero HP and is just a noise maker.

 

Yeah, I know we are spending money on a noise maker, but I want to spend money on one. I want stupid people to know our cars are bamfs. So knowing which bov I should get would be a positive.

 

im hearing that the plastic 1 we have in the ralliart isnt a actual blow off valve its a something like a recurculating valve wuts da diffrence and if i do put a blow of valve in it will there be any problems

Then you bought the wrong car, I don't know in what world a Ralliart is a BAMF, a Corvette Z06 is a BAMF.

 

it comes stock with a by-pass valve, which is 100% fine.
BPV's throw air back into the intake where it operates better.

whereas BOV's dont...just for show and you lose hp lol

 

I'd like to think the RA is a BAMF =(
