NOOB Question: BOV Safe? How to?
I found this one:

If I get this one is it okay? Would I need a tune if I got this one?

Most if not all of the currently available intakes for the RA are short ram intakes. I don't like SRIs on turboed cars because of the high heat in the engine bay. This can lower HP and cause detonation which is very bad. Personally I would wait until a cold air intake is available. For any intake, a tune is best. Some claim you don't need it, but I'm wary of those.
Changing anything under the hood will void the warranty with pretty much all Dealerships (if they choose to), Catback exhausts have even been known to void warranty.. And since its a lease i wouldn't recommend changing anything under the hood unless you are going to buy it out at the end of the lease.
You have a BOV already its just hard to hear with the way the tranny keeps the boost building. If you wanna hear it just go to the manual mode start cruising and wait till you hear boost building and left off the throttle. you will get the sound you are looking for.

They will not void your warranty bc of a BOV. Look at my GTS, my warranty is still in tact 100%
Oh, okay, then it is probably a bad idea for me to get that as well...well I guess I will leave my car the way it is. Are there any drop in filters that are better for me?
^^^What he said, and they have an entire team of corporate lawyers and substantially deeper legal pockets than the average Joe as well...I think there's even a thread on here somewhere about a guy's warranty getting flagged for a turbo timer...
No kidding, unless you know for sure that you're going to win, I can't see it being worth the fight. If they win, they could go after you for their legal expenses which I guarantee you would be more than the repair bills.
Absotively! Even if you're sure you'll win, you may not win...I can speak to this first-hand, due to an accident I had with a police officer some 19 years ago when I was a college freshman. I then lost my appeal, and had to pay the City's legal costs...
Bottom line for the OP, if you're concerned about the warranty, don't do it!
