What do you all think? Is it worth getting? My '09 RA is bone stock and I want to get this but I don't want to get a tune, you think it will be okay?

If I just get the SRI, would I need to get my RA tuned?

no point in getting any SRI if you are not going to get a tune.

They say you don't NEED a tune... but its a good idea to get one. Don't want your car running lean...

You could probably get a tune even with all stock hardware. If I'm not mistaking, the car runs fairly rich anyways, so if the intake causes it to lean out a bit it'll probably be good.

Soooo, I should get it then? Because I definitely don't want to get it tuned. What does it mean to "lean out"? Will I lose any horsepower/throttle response getting the SRI?

why would you lose any ??

lean out means you get more air (rich= more fuel)

just get it if its what YOU want. im sure you dont NEED to get it tuned... its just better if you do.

If I run my '09 Ralliart more "lean" will I lose anything performance wise then? Or will it only help me. I just remember putting my SRI on my '08 Lancer GTS and it almost seemed like I lost some throttle response, is that normal? Or was it just my imagination?

lean reefers to the mixture of fuel to air mixture in the cylinder. if your running lean means there is to much air and not enough fuel which is bad. this can cause damage to your motor in the long run. some cars ran adjust to it but from what i understand about the RA it does not adjust well to an Intake.

I like my UR sri also. It was very cheap, easy to install, and it sounds better than factory intake. I may one day step up to a CAI when they are available, but I am happy with the UR SRI for now.

Yeah I want to get it but I really wish I could get a tune as well. I'm really jealous of all you people down in Florida that get the TTP Tuning. I wish I could get it up here in New England but the TTP guys said the only way they could do it is if I had the $170 cable as well...All the tuning places up here charge $650+
