Let's see what happens after this guy tries the TC on his RA

based on the Evo X "MR" owner review, the car does launch in a heart beat after the mod (assuming it's running with the most extreme setting "SP3" or something like that)

I'd def want to try this out

anything that would get rid of the hesitation sounds good to me, just want to see slips before i buy one cause i was told it was the tranny causing this issue.

"Feels" faster and more responsive means nothing to me. I'm not one to trust butt dynos.

this unit won't increase horsepower so the car won't be faster; quicker is the word, it seems as if the car could react quicker after this mod; I remember this guy saying one of the highest settings almost gets rid of the launch hesitation on an MR (same SST on the RA)

I just dont understand it, you add hp to make it quicker. Why would making the throttle response quicker change your track time? Car responds faster when you mash the gas thus far making the car launch faster making your track time faster...still need a proven slip before i buy one.

Well mine arrived today, Instructions in Japanese. So I matched the pics and installed in 10minutes. Now my RA was able to pull 20psi before but it faded back pretty quick. In SP1 mode it was able to hold 17psi alot longer before getting back to 10psi. In SP3 mode my 20psi gauge lost track of how much it was delivering (I'd guess about 25) and it held it out there till I back off at 100km/h. Note I do have a Evo BOV on my car so I'm not worried about it cracking like the plastic ones do.

LancerES09 Throttle response needs to be adjusted on high HP cars to get them down the line just as transmission gear ratios and so forth. It is not always about mashing the throttle. If you can improve signal speed to the throttle by electronically adjusting it then time is improved. It is just the same as adjusting the throttle cable to open more flow on an older car. Correct me if Im wrong anyone

Had to go to the servo today its 200km there plus 200km back. On they way there I had the TC set on ECO and fuel consumption got down to 9.4l/100km Usually on the trip I get between high 10s to mid 12s. On the way home had it set on SP1 and fuel consumption was showing at 9.8L/100km. Had the Cruise control set both times at 110km/h. Different sort of test but next time I head to the servo I'll be using SP2 and SP3.
