aye... I hear mine 50% louder then before, and after I got the bigger fmic and AMS pipe, there's lots of turbine spool sound under the hood, I could hear it even with the radio on at mid-level volume

plus I think AMS recommended to upgrade to the metal cuz the plastic one tends to be leaky (maybe after you're raise boost?)

here it is:

http://www.amsperformance.com/cart/A...mance.com.html

Also if you have some Evo friends ask them for one, they might give it off cheaper or even give it to you for free!

The EVO 8 BOVs fit as well? I thought it was just the 9s and 10s, but I guess it wouldn't make much sense to change from 8 to 9.

The computer is expecting that extra "vented" air to be blown back into the intake, and adjusts fuel accordingly. By using a VTA valve, you're giving the engine less air than it's expecting (and making it run rich).

http://www.lancershop.com/customer/p...&cat=27&page=1
for $129.95
http://www.streettunedmotorsports.com/evo/evo_bov.htm (near the bottom of the page)
for $130.00

these are the cheapest I have found outside of ebay or here in the forums, you can post a Wanted To Buy (WTB) ad in the EVO IX or EVO X section
