Hello,
I try this morning and in fact, it doesn't work for me... I'm very sorry
The engine management looks very good but the gearbox management is now very bad in my case.
I drive all this morning in Normal and Automatic.
When I accelerate very few the gears changes too fast and too brutal my head moves in my car.
When I accelerate WOT, the gears changed too slow, clutch slip a lot, it displays 2nd gear on the dashboard, but it is always in first gear, I think that the first gear clutch open normally but the second gear clutch takes too long time to close and there is a very bad feeling like the clutch slips a lot.
I always drive with manual gearbox on my other cars and I know when it looks like a clutch slip or not and in this case, it looks like a clutch clip.
As I understand in this update, they changed some maps like fuel timing and boost as I can see in ECUFLASH because they are in the XML but some others about the SST transmissions that are not showed in the XML and not in ECUFLASH...
Do you think It is possible to create a mix with the original SST maps and the GST basemaps for the engine only ?
I think it would be very interesting in my case because with this transmission feeling, I should reinstall the original, this is not usable in my case...
Bye
Clément

Is it 100% stock? Are you using the boost pill map or normal map?
The 1st to 2nd gear rev hang issue is torque management as well.
Are you able to log the car for me?

Hello,
yes it is 100% stock, no filter, intake exhaust or what else )
Yesterday I installed back my original rom because it was very difficult in the trafin jam and I was affraid for my clutch.
I was using this rom : 2010_RA_USDM_GST_BaseMap_StockPILL_93oct_V25_01301 1.hex
I can log but as my car is stock I have no Wideband lambda and no boost controler and my original rom is mode23 disabled...
If I understand, I should modify my original rom to activate mode23 and after that i can log.
Do you want that I log my original or the GST basemap ?
I bought Evoscan, is it enough ?
If I can help you, please ask me and I will do it.
Thanks for your answer.

I don't know much about tuning, but considering the car isn't a USDM build, the ECU is probably tuned much differently from the factory, therefore the EDM basemap is probably what he should be running instead.

I'm using the AUS/EDM and I feel shifts to and from second gear are very harsch = can get annoying in traffic. Also sometimes when shifting, the car nudges forward. This didn't happen before that I can remember?
I never got any warnings during this winter running v2.0 so if there's no performance loss, I might downgrade for the time being.

Heh I see. Well there's no way to satisfy everyone. I'm a bit worried the shifts might throw you off guard in a corner or what not, and overall I like it smooth
I read some posts back that it's possible to use the old SST settings with the new map? I will try swapping the lower bound timing table.

Hello,
sorry guys I made a mistake, the rom I used is this :
2010_RA_AUS_EDM_GST_BaseMap_StockPILL_98ron_v25_01 3011.hex
and the definition is 53610013.
Sorry for the mistake it was a bad copy paste...

It's the same as mine. You should also copy the lower bound timing table from the v2 map to the 2.5 if you want smoother shifting. If there's no 0-60 gain I can't understand why anyone want it to shift harscher. Well I guess people are different
I copied it this morning and it's running great.

Bryan,
Would you consider adding to post #1 a brief description of the differences / improvements between the V1, V2 and V2.5 ROMS? That might help owners decide which they would prefer. The latest version may in fact not be the best suited to some owner's tastes or needs.
Also, have you ever considered creating use specific tunes? Like an all out ragged edge drag race tune, or a low gear auto-X tune, or a max HP 0-knock road race tune, or a max MPG vacation-with-the-wife-and-kids tune, or an E85 tune, etc? Just curious.
