Car went WOT as well...

Hi everyone this is my first post on these forums, I thought the topic was pretty important. Just two days ago I went to the stealership to get my AWC reflashed, brake booster fixed, hood latch & fuel pump line. I was reading these forums saying how the AWC flash made the car feel 'peppier' and less herky-jerky. When I had time today, I gave my RA a little run around the block. I found a straight clear road, popped it into sport mode and left it as automatic, and accelerated hard to WOT.. I neared about 80km/h and left off, but the car didn't slow...in fact it was still revving up and somehow managed to get past the redline and almost hit 8k revs. I WTF'd?! Then I checked the accelerator pedal to see if it was stuck, and it was fine. I then hit the brakes...which did absolutely nothing to slow the car, so decided to f* it and turn off the car, coasting to the side of the road before nearly jumping out into a street full of traffic. Restarted the car and it was fine, I tried to replicate this, but it worked perfectly after.

Anyone have any ideas as to what caused this? I will take it to the stealership when I have time. Theres been a similar thread but this person was in manual mode...

don't worry people after this happened again, I found the problem, it appears my all weather floor mat was prone to sliding up over the accelerator pedal... fixed it
