If you go to this thread https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...purchases.html and read through it every second or third post is an Evo X owner saying that the worst mod they ever bought was the HKS SSQV BOV.

 

Crap... I just lost a screw from the ssqv... anyone know where I can get one?
I don't think it'll matter much without that one screw but still...

I also lost the rubber o ring... don't even ask how I lost that part...lol
Anyone know where I can get these parts?...

thats because they haven't remove the DTC codes while running VTA.

no issues at all if you do it right.

 

Im happy with the AMS one im not going tochange it, its louder than stock and wont effect anything with the car and how it runs...

 

I'm gonna go with the AMS one too...
After putting the ssqv on for a day I'm thinkin it's way too loud for my taste...

Actually it ran pretty smoothly. Im pretty sensitive to any changes. I didn't feel much difference. Idle was ok. No problems revving. It was just the noise that I couldn't deal with. The stock plastic bpv has a better psssst sound than than the squealing noise from the ssqv

I think I'll try one more thing before I get rid of my ssqv.
I'm going to get the flange for the ralliart and try to weld it to the ssqv and see if that works better. It's pita putting the oring on the ssqv and it just doesn't seem right. If I have the flange welded on then there wont be any leaks for sure. The thing is I cant weld it before early january since I wont be home until that time.

And for the vid... I'm too lazy to put it back on right now. But I'll try to post a vid when I get that welded on.

I'm going to try the ssqv one more time. But since I lost my o-ring, I'm waiting for it to get to my house ever since I ordered one. If I don't like it after I try it on again then I'm willing to do a trade.
