Most Regrettable Evo Parts Purchases...
First off let me go by saying a similar thread has been started at NASIOC and I wanted to start one here to see what us Evo guys have to say. Now that's been said lets see what you guys regret.
1. HKS SSQV BOV- I brought it, installed it, drove it for 10 miles and took it off afterward. The high pitch squeeking it made got to me fast. Ever since then, it sat there for 12 months in a box. (P.S. will put up for sale soon at super discounted price
)
2. Ralliart superlite shift knob - I though it would be awesome because it was white and it matched my car's color. Oh how I did not light how light it was. It actually too more effort and grind more often with this shift knob vs my current BLOX weighted shift knob.
3. HKS Hi-Power exhaust - It was cheap, it was 75mm, and it was HKS. I'll never buy by brand alone again and priced cheap without doing research again. It had all the things I wanted at a cheap price for a dual tip design but when I got it, it was pretty heavy and LOUD. I though I can live with the loudness and never knew what drone was till someone pointed it out to me. In the end, sold it and spend twice the amount I got the HKS for a Greddy SE.
How about the rest of you guys..............

The extended warranty that I bought along with the car from
. Now every time I'm about to buy something I think how stupid it was because I'm prolly gonna void it anyway.
What does the extended warranty cover anyway? lol

Most extended warranties are required by law to let you return it for a refund, pro-rated based on the portion of the coverage that has been used. Call them and get your money back!
I bought my extended warranty through Nissan (it was a combined nissan/mitsu dealership) so I don't have to deal with the Mitsu overlords for warranty repairs!
As far as regrets, I think my perrin short antenna hurt my reception quite a bit.
You can cancel that and get the prorated amount refunded to you!

I have purchased quite a few mods for my Evo and I can't say that I regret any of the purchases. SLIGHT, and I mean slight regret perhaps is my Defi boost gauge. There is nothing wrong with it other than it only reads 30psi. I 30+ psi of boost in my future.
Okada plasma coils & HKS plugs. Don't do anything that a tune on stock parts wouldn't do.
I also upgraded my fueling using the UR kits & 800cc injectors. Then decided to go E85 and had to replace them again. That's more about being ignorant than saying anything about the parts, tho.
