Injen UICP kit installed

I installed the Injen UICP today in my garage and it was the most easy install that I have ever done. I went with the Injen cuz it was just the upper pipe that needs to be replaced. For the most part tho, I went with injen cuz of that sticker

Oh yeah slightly better throttle response in the low end. I don't know if it helps the low end but I feel it in the low end

Noise wise... there's not much difference with the windows up. With the windows down it's just a little bit louder than with the HKS Drop-in filter alone

(Just curious) Why do you say that?

Also, what is the diameter of the Injen UICP?

Go outside squeeze your pipe and ask that again.

Cuz it was an easier installation for my lazy *** lol
Also the black pipe that connect from the IC to the Injen piping is solid unlike the stock upper fiber/rubber tubes. I read somewhere that the UICP really doesn't matter which company you go with, it's more of a cosmetic or just a brand of choice. Also I didn't have any problem with previous purchases from injen so I just went with them. And to me the sticker looks good Also the price wasn't that bad comparing with the other brands.

For the diameter.. I think the part that connects to the turbo inlet(??) is 2.5" and the rest of the piping is 3". It's pretty much same diameter as stock. If you feel the stock tubings, the middle of the stock piping changes in diameter in the middle of where my injen middle silicons are at.

Yeah the black piping that connects to the IC was fine since it doesn't shrink/expand. I don't know how much you would benefit from UICP being 3" all throughtout. But I"m happy with my injen UICP.

Oh please, I'm not that stupid. I understand the motivation(s) for replacing your stock UICP. I just don't understand why you would replace one pipe and not the other. Hell, I have an EVO X front mount sitting in my dorm room right now. I plan to replace the IC, UICP (UR), and LICP (UR) all at the same time. However, the UR piping is a larger diameter than stock. I was just curious as to why one would claim that the upper pipe is the only essential pipe to be replaced. I realize that he has an aftermarket IC that requires a different coupler than stock. However, the pipe that he purchased presumably is designed to work with the stock IC, therefore, I was just confused.

I think its moreso that the UICP yields more gains than the LICP (which is basically zero gains at boost levels) and ease of install. Yes our ugly plastic (and seemingly dented in) LICP isn't optimal but doesn't appear to yield much if any gains at stock boost levels...and it's harder to get to and you cannot see it with the bumper on lol

Really? I've always heard that the LICP gives better gains than the UICP.

Yeah even if it was plastic I didn't feel the need to change the LICP since I will be keeping my stock turbo.

I've heard that 2 or 3 times now. That is exactly why I was curious.
