Lancershop.com bovs

I was going through lancershop.com and was wondering what the difference between the Tomei Evo bov(http://www.lancershop.com/customer/p...cat=172&page=1) and the EVO MR JDM bov(http://www.lancershop.com/customer/p...cat=172&page=1)

Other than the price.. is there a difference in them?

Yes, one is made by Tomei, the other by Mitsubishi.

Neither is better and they're not the same design since they're made by different companies. They accomplish the same goal.

Find a lightly used BPV from the Evo X or Evo IX For Sale section. Or create a "Want to Buy..." thread in one of them. I got mine for $85 shipped.

I know it supposed to hold boost better than the stock but I'm asking if anyone know the difference between the 2 or if they have experience with tomei bov.

There's no proof that the stock valve isn't adequate.

That's not my question.. I'm not saying the stock isn't adequate with stock turbo but if the boost levels do get higher than the stock isn't adequate am I correct?

My question is if anyone knows the difference between the tomei and the evo jdm.

No, there is no proof yet that even at raised boost levels that the stock piece is inadequate. On high HP Evos, yes there can be an issue but they're typically running more power and more boost than even the highest HP Ralliart is running.
I told you the difference. They're made by different manufacturers and are different parts. You are essentially asking this question, what's the difference between Enkei wheels and Volk wheels? They both accomplish the same goal but they're different parts.

My stock plastic ralliart BPV held 20-23psi just fine. I picked up a metal IX BPV for 70 shipped just for the reassurance. IMO it's not worth spending more money on a BPV/BOV than you really have to. They perform one simple function and either they work or they don't for your application. Unless you want different tips for sound and spring settings and all that stuff.
