I just looked on Amsoil's online product aplication guide, and it says they don't have anything for the LSD or transfer case.

actually, i work at a dealer too, and we actually recommend the BG synthetic alternative to the diaqueen. we supply that too, but the BG is a better product, imo. and they do stand behind the product and warranty any and all claims, so long as all proper maintenance was done on schedule with their product.

What is "BG synthetic"??? I've looked all through this thread, and no one else has even mentioned that product.

^ yeah. high quality products, but a bit pricey. b.g. ultraguard for the diff's and t/c calling for 75w-90. i know it doesnt apply to us, per se, but anyone with a m/t evo we recommend their synchro-shift product as well.

lol! I'm calling around the plethora of dealerships we have here in Toronto regarding this. One dealer said that they cant warranty if i bring my own DiaQueen Mitsubishi because they don't know where it's from... but instead I need to buy the overpriced same oil from them ($25/L) LOL!

I would just like to mention that having a single weight oil (90W) is not as good as having a multi-weight oil (75W90).

The first weight # is what the oil will be at cold (being a lower number, it will flow more easily). As the oil heats up it takes on the 90W characteristic which the OEM transer case recommends.

Single wieght lubricants are a thing of the past, and I wouldn't use them in my vehicle.

^ No offense apagan, i know everyone uses Amsoil and stuff, but you're a reseller for them. I'm going to assume bias.

Is it easy to change the transfer case and diff fluids with the car on jack stands, or does it require the car to be on the lift? I'm thinking about doing it myself, but want to make sure its reasonably possible first.

......the only trick is the car needs to be level when you re-fill and check the fluid level

does not really matter how you get it off of the ground.

This is what I had put in my diff and t-case today:

Still have half of it left for next time!
Smells really bad though, but that doesn't really matter.

Is there a write-up somewhere on how to change the oil for the transfer case and differential for the RA? I know I could use the "search" function, but I figured why not put all this info in one nice thread for all
