Hesitation from a stop

I have looked for an answer but have not found it. I have been noticing a hesitation when i get on the gas from a dead stop. I push on the gas and it sounds like the engine bogs down and then it gets to around 2500 rpms and it acts fine. I just want to know if this happens to everyone. I have a completely stock RA with 22000 miles.

i think thats the lag from electric throttle body... (wtv they call it... the non-drive-by-wire)
not sure if its the same prob ... but when the car is cold ... i feel the car "choking" when i give really light throttle...

ex: approaching a light .. (slowing down - gas off) ... give a lil throttle ... *choke* ...

sprint booster

I think $329 is a bit steep, even if the sprint booster does eliminate or reduce the throttle lag. Are there any other similar products out there that do the same thing for less $$?

Sounds like turbo lag to me. 2500 RPM is when it really starts building boost. If you have 22,000 miles, did it just start happening or was it always like this?

its turbo lag. its normal like geereg said. most turbo cars have it from a dead stop. thats why when you drag race its ideal to get the revs up. it builds the boost to have a better launch.

mix all of the above. turbo lag, being at the bottom end of the boost threshold, electric throttlebody, and automatic trans.

That sprint booster is supposed to work pretty good to help the problem. At least eliminate one of the problems in the above chain.

and $329 isn't that much. Depending how long you plan on having the car, you could probably average the cost per use, starting from a stop, down to $.10 per time. lol

I was the K&N drop in... I had the UR Intake installed and well that was a small fail so I put this in and it made some small improvements. Only thing I don't like about the filter is the RPM does not drop as fast compared to the OEM.

You can find it here "http://www.lancershop.com/customer/product.php?productid=1519&cat=175&page=1" OR you do what I did and go to AutoZone and get free shipping.

on a stop, when you on manual mode, what rpm you will switch to 2nd gear?
my 1st gear feel like not pulling after 3000rpm and up , so I switch to 2nd gear before 3k rpm, and then 2nd gear pull good to redline, is that normal and am I doing it right?
my 09 had K&N drop-in, Eibach pro-kit spring, UR UICP & UR Muffler, thinking to buy the COBB accessport if that can help the 1st gear thing.
Thanks for your help.
