You have to be catless with a straight through exhaust.

a turbo charged car with a high-flow exhaust will "pop" in certain situations.

there really is no fix other than the way you use the gas pedal during de-acceleration.

if you do not want the popping.........

.....do not go abruptly from heavy throttle to no throttle.

Oh Great...so I'm not the only one...I thought I was the only one for a sec. I thought it could have been my aftermarket mufflet but guess not. Yeah it makes the pop.. and Yeah I've gotten it tuned. When it was tuning when it poped you see 2 big sparks out of the muffler...wouldn't say it look like flame tho :[ it woulda looked cool lol

I am not running a test pipe, just straight catback exhaust with stock cat on...and I still have backfiring. Its not often, has only happened twice, but its loud as hell.

stock downpipe and cat with UR Resonator midpipe and exhaust. I have occasional backfire as well, not often though. I've recreated scenarios when i've experienced the backfire to get a feel for how to avoid it. like someone else said, slowly getting off throttle from heavy acceleration does the trick

your mad that you get a backfire on a turbo car?

really? LOL

I a conservative custom tune should get rid of it, but why you'd want to is beyond me.

My 100% stock 2010 RA does it on decel/"throttle over-run" (as the Brits call it), especially if I rev to above 5k in Park. However, on the stock exhaust, you have to "listen" for it to hear it, because the stock exhaust cuts out so much of the sound....

I enjoy it with my exhaust although I get no flame due to the AMS HFC and Catback.

^^^^^ agree I love when I do it and the best part is when the flame ignites far down the exhaust, and a huge poof of smoke comes out the other end, uhh killing the environment, is lovely XD

I've got the ams dual exhaust and hfc, I had some popping to when I would accelerate and then let go of the pedal. But recently whenever I jst step on the gas hard, it does an extremely loud popping. I don't think this is normal because I've had the exhaust and hfc since last september. And I jst started not to long ago. Anyone have this problem before?

but seriously, check the exhaust for leaks, and if you've had it custom tuned, have the tuner check it out
